I offer one-on-one private training and behavior modification help. Private training can be scheduled for any dog training or behavior issue, including basic skills, resource guarding, aggression, leash reactivity, fear, anxiety, separation anxiety, barking, adjusting to a new pet in the home, and much more! 

Private Dog Training Process

Step 1: Initial consultation, online

• My private training starts with an online, initial consultation. We'll discuss your dog's background, discuss the issues and goals, and see what your dog knows. I'll leave you with steps you can start right away and recommend a training plan.
• This is online for all clients. Online consultations allow more uninterrupted time to discuss your specific situation and answer questions.

Step 2: Training plan

• Your training plan will include a package of multiple sessions. Sessions can be in-person or online. Each training plan is tailored to you and your dogs' needs and goals.
• ​Training packages typically involve four to six sessions. 
• Once you agree to and the training plan, I'll provide a summary of my recommendations, helpful handouts, and links to other resources. 

Step 3: Training sessions 

• We will meet for in-person or online training sessions, typically scheduled one to two weeks apart.
• You should allow plan for 60 minutes for the first in-person session and 45 minutes for subsequent sessions. We will check in between sessions with 15-minute online checks or through email.
• Online sessions can be 30 or 60 minutes.   
• For each in-person session, I'll travel to your home or we'll meet in the community.
• In between sessions, we'll check in through short, online sessions or email.

Rates

INITIAL CONSULTATION

• ONLINE, REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW CLIENTS, 75 minutes, $165
• I provide a consultation summary for clients who agree to and sign up for a training package.​​

TRAINING SESSIONS​

• In-person:  60 minutes for the first session; 45 minutes for subsequent sessions. $150/session​​​
• Online: 30 or 60 minutes: $135/training hour.​​​

How Online Training Works

• We schedule sessions using Zoom.
• You set up a laptop, phone, or tablet camera that can view you and your dog, or that can switch between you.
• I coach you as you work with your dog in real time during the session
• We can view videos and I can demonstrate from my location
• You can send videos of your training before or after the session.
